The Donyi-Polo Mission School for the Hearing & Visually Impaired, Chimpu, Itanagar is celebrated “INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE DIFFERENTLY ABLED” on 3rd December, 2024 from 03.00 pm onwards in its premises along with the differently able students of the school.

Rev. Swamiji, the Secretary, R.K Mission Hospital, Itanagar who was Chief Guest of the programme distributed 106 nos of Fleece Jackets to the differently abled students of Donyi Polo Mission School for the Hearing and Visually impaired on this occasion.
Rev. Swamiji in his speech lauded the noble role of DPM School, Chimpu for extending education, training and rehabilitation of the children with hearing, Visual and Intellectual Impairment in a constructive way so as to make the differently abled children lead a productive livesin society with self respect and dignity . Swamiji stressed to provide all possible opportunities and facilities to the differently abled children to flourish their hidden abilities. He said that It’s a matter of proud that the passed out hearing & Visually impaired students from this school have been serving in Govt. jobs in various capacities and have been pursuing higher education. He thanks its founder Chairman Shri Gegong Apang who gave a ray of hope in the life of such children with his noble deeds.
Dr. Okeng Apang , Vice Chairman, Donyi Polo Mission extended his thanks and gratitude to the Swamiji ,Secretary, R.K.Mission for all their noble initiative for the cause of the differently able persons of the state in particular. He thanked the state government and the nodal Department of SJETA for all their support in strengthening the hands of school authority to extend a better service to the children with special needs.
Dr. Animesh Mukherjee, Secretary, DPM pointed out everyone needs to stand for the right of disability.
Sri Arabinda Dey, Principal briefed the present activities of the school.
During the occasion the students of the school performed cultural programme.Miss Biri Yaja and Miss Sonam Chotan visually impaired student of the school welcome all the guest and dignitories present in the Occasion & extended vote of thanks.
